Cop found with throat slashed at police station
A chilling discovery has rocked the Jamaica Constabulary Force after a police constable was found dead with his throat reportedly slashed inside the May Pen Police Station in Clarendon on Monday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Constable Kenroy Pitter of Endeavour, Mile Gully, Manchester.
Preliminary reports indicate that the officer's body was discovered shortly after 6 p.m. inside the police station.
Sources said Constable Pitter appeared to have been dead for some time before he was found.
Investigators remained at the scene late Monday, combing the area for clues as they worked to determine the circumstances surrounding the officer's death.
The police have confirmed that the matter is currently being treated as a death investigation. No further details have been released.
