‘Memories’ oldies party set to light up Bog Walk
Labour Day weekend will feature an oldies party for patrons who love tunes of yesteryear dubbed 'Memories' in its second staging.
It is slated for Reggae Jamaica Village Church Road, Bog Walk, St Catherine -- home of Reggae Fusion.
Promoter Collisha Frame says the lineup of DJ Little Richie, DJ Al Pachino, and recording artiste Admiral Tibet were handpicked to bring the May 23 event's vision to life.
"We chose our DJs based on the nature of our event (given that it's) old school. They're just the right fit. In terms of uniqueness, Memories is the only one of its kind in the area that is expressed in this fashion, the environment, the vibe is unusually special," Frame said.
The show, which will feature hits from the 70's, 80's, and 90's is finger-food inclusive.
The promoter also noted that she and her team are pulling out all the stops to ensure a successful execution.
"Preparation is underway. We are doing traditional and social media marketing. Tickets are available online at xtickets.com. We expect persons to come and experience value while enjoying a moment in time," Frame continued.
She is encouraging everyone to support the event and let down their hair on the holiday weekend.
"For one, this event is community-oriented. Two, anything based on the past is a treasure; and three, you are helping to build a safe space for fun and enjoyment by way of support," she said.
